Floodwater is never clean. Whether from storm surge, overflowing waterways, or municipal drainage failure, floodwater carries sewage, chemicals, bacteria, and debris that demand professional decontamination beyond standard water damage cleanup. Zoneinc provides certified flood cleanup for Des Peres, MO properties with health safety as our first priority.
Flood cleanup is fundamentally different from standard water damage restoration because of contamination. Floodwater is classified as Category 3 or black water, meaning it contains biological and chemical contaminants that make simple drying insufficient. Proper flood cleanup requires extraction, decontamination, antimicrobial treatment, and in many cases, removal of materials that cannot be safely cleaned.
Zoneinc's flood cleanup process begins with thorough documentation of all damage for insurance purposes, followed by contaminated water extraction using appropriate PPE protocols. We remove debris, treat affected surfaces with EPA-registered disinfectants, and apply structured drying systems to bring the property to certified dry and safe conditions.
We also coordinate with environmental testing services when contamination levels require verification, ensuring your Des Peres, MO property is safe for re-occupancy before the project is formally closed.
A systematic approach refined over 18 years of professional water damage restoration work throughout Des Peres, MO.
Attempting to clean up floodwater without professional training and equipment creates serious health risks. Floodwater from storms, overflows, and backups contains E. coli, Hepatitis A, Salmonella, and numerous other pathogens that survive on surfaces long after visible water is removed. Without proper decontamination, these hazards persist in your Des Peres, MO home or business and continue to pose health threats to occupants.
Zoneinc technicians hold AMRT certification and work with full protective equipment to safely remove contaminated materials and apply effective decontamination treatments. Our documented process provides proof of professional remediation that satisfies insurance requirements and health department standards.
